Beginning Oct. 1, the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction began charging a $33 processing fee for teacher/principal certificates as a result of the 2011 legislative special session.

The fee is to defray the costs of administering the educator certification program, create an electronic certification system that will allow educators to access their certificate information, and replace state general fund support of the Professional Certification Office with an online system within the next two years.

If you have questions about the certification processing fee, contact Lucinda Young or Jim Meadows.
