The WEA Board of Directors voted to hold a Statewide Day of Action on Nov. 28, as passed by the 2011 WEA Representative Assembly.

The Statewide Day of Action is meant to focus on cuts that harm children and students, a show of organizational unity and to advance professional pride.

The intent of this day of action is the beginning of a series of actions rather than a culmination of events. It is the start of a marathon ‐‐ not the end of a 400 meter race. In the coming year, we face a string of challenges including a special session beginning Nov. 28, a regular session which begins Jan. 9; local levy elections in many communities; local bargains across the state; the potential for further RIFS; and national
and statewide elections. See you Nov. 28!
